Why do we fundraise?

We raise funds to help us meet our PTC mission:

The Mission of the Rock Creek PTC is to strengthen the relationship between school and community in order to enhance the educational experience of every student. The PTC will raise funds to support educational opportunities and supplement the needs of the school to promote academic, cultural, and enrichment activities.

2013-2014 School Year

In the 2013-2014 school year, thanks to successful fundraising, the PTC provided the following for the school.

  • Audobon Society presentation (4th grade)
  • Back-to-School picnic
  • Boo Hoo/Yahoo breakfast
  • Book Buddies
  • Carnival (free)
  • Clothes Closet donation
  • Directory (free)
  • Emergency preb boxes (water/snacks)
  • Field Day
  • Field trips
  • IXL math and language arts license (school-wide through June 2015)
  • Movie Nights
  • OBOB books and registration
  • OMSI Traveling Program (2nd grade)
  • Pioneer Day (4th grade)
  • Rocket Academy
  • Room Parties (free)
  • Scholarship funds (to help with beginning of the year school supplies)
  • Skate Nights
  • Staff Appreciation Week

  • Time for Kids (kindergarten)
  • Tom Porter Scholarship Fund (pays for 2-3 students to go to Science Camp)
  • Zoo trip (1st grade)
